Impact of climate change on our daily lives.
A warmer climate is expected to increase the risk of illnesses and death from extreme heat and poor air quality including Carbon footprint which is the amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) released by human activities.
Climate change affects the environment in many different ways, including rising temperatures, sea level rise, drought, flooding, and global warming. These events affect things that we depend upon and value, like water, energy, transportation, wildlife, agriculture, ecosystems, and human health.
Environmental change impacts our daily lives in many ways, including:
• Health
Change in climate can worsen air quality, which can lead to respiratory diseases, heart disease, and some types of cancer. Warmer temperatures can also make pollen seasons longer, which can worsen allergies and asthma.
• Food
Climate crisis can impact the availability of food, including the variety of crops and fruits grown.
• Water
Climatical chage can impact the availability of water, including through drought and flooding.
• Energy
Change in environment can impact the availability of energy, including through changes in the source of energy.
• Transportation
Environmental destruction can impact transportation, including through more severe storms and traffic jams.
• Wildlife
Global warming can have environmental impact along with wildlife, including through the expansion, reduction, or extinction of some populations.
• Ecosystems
Climate heating can impact ecosystems, including through changes in the geographic range of plants and animals.
Some actions you can take to help reduce the impact of climate change include:
• Saving energy at home.
• Changing your home's source of energy.
• Walking, biking, or taking public transport.
• Switching to an electric vehicle.
• Reducing, reusing, repairing, and recycling.
• Eating more vegetables.
• Throwing away less food.
In addition, if words like “global warming” and “climate change” have become a turn-off for ordinary people then we should change these words. Also, we should use words like a world underwater, mortgaged future, etc.
